It can be difficult to know what to include and what to leave out. There is only a small amount of room to add in your name, business name, and to explain what you do. You also only get one link. Many experts recommend linking to a page that contains all of your important online links rather than linking to your website’s homepage.

It’s common to see people doing this using a tools such as LinkTree, LinkinBio, or a variety of other platforms. The problem with this is that you are sending people to another platform when you could be sending them to your website! You don’t have to have a page that has another company’s logo and branding. Your contact information should just be the best way to contact you. Preferably email and not a phone number. We already discussed using a page on your website to house all of your important links. This page can include a link to your services, your contact page or booking calendar, your lead magnet and your last blog post.

Your keywords, target audience, and what you do can all be conveyed on one sentence. If you don’t already have a niche statement, this is the time to develop one! Here’s a simple formula for helping you concisely state all three points.

I work with [add in target audience here], who need to [add in their problem]. I can help you [your solution or service], I will [your promise].

Here’s an example of how that might look: I work with creative professionals, who need to need online marketing help. I can help you grow your business even if you don’t like spending time on social media.

There’s a lot that can be said in one sentence! It might take a while to get it just right, but it’s worth it to have a clear message about what you do and who you help. If you are target a certain keyword you can add right next to your name or your business name. For example, your title might read: Claire – Digital Marketing Consultant.
